1983 Jeep CJ-8 Scrambler, red over tan, with steel doors, tan hard top, and wooden bed rails. 258ci AMC inline-six with a Mopar Performance fuel injection kit, Tremec T176 4-speed manual, Dana 300 transfer case, power steering and power brakes, 31" BFGoodrich All-Terrains on American Racing wheels.

The truck received a complete nut-and-bolt frame-off restoration in 20012002 by Brians 4WD Parts in Branford, CT, with records. Body was pulled and sandblasted before paint, frame was epoxy-coated with new body mounts and crossmember, and the engine was rebuilt (.040 over) with the Mopar EFI conversion replacing the factory carb it starts and runs like a modern vehicle, not a carbureted 1983.

After the restoration it sat in climate-controlled storage, then was purchased on Bring a Trailer in February 2018 showing 532 miles. Ive put fewer than 100 miles on it since and its been garaged the whole time roughly 630 miles total since the restoration. Comparable restored, stock-configuration Scramblers typically go for $50k$53k, but most of what you will find for this year/model is resto-mods instead of true restorations.
